Shield of Love

We all have demons deep inside

In our deep crevices they will hide

We block the roads that lead to these dark places

Hoping we will never see their ugly faces

But tragedy strikes and we have a loss

Heartaches, troubles, a life with no cause

These Demons slowly escape

Taking over our minds landscape

They slowly go from limb to limb

Taking over our body, there is no end

They save our heart for last

Devouring it slowly and making the hurt last

Our heart slowly breaks and becomes so sad

Making the demon more powerful and glad

Little does he realize what we have deep inside

A source so powerful

The demon will surely run and hide

God gave us the Holy Spirit to help fight our battles

So, call forth your spirit and jump in the saddle

The demons will flee

Peace returns you see

Your heart will be healed

And your body at rest

You have won another battle

You have passed the test!

So do your best to heal your hurts

Fill your heart with love and learn to let go

Demons can’t return where love is sowed

So, when your demon starts to escape

God will open the flood gates!

He will protect you with a shield of love

The holy spirit and angels from above
